In all fairness if Vanek ended up in the top 10 in scoring back to back years for the Oilers, I think you'd be pretty happy. Especially if one of those first round picks turned out to be a drunk that gets shunned from Buffalo.

The Oilers aren't great trading partners with anyone because they have no mid-level to above average prospects that other teams covet. Either really good or really bad prospects. I would have to believe the Sabres would keep Vanek before we moved him for a 1st and a conditional 1st

gernat, musil, rajala, slepyshev, roy, yakimov all mid prospects. Nurse, klefbom, marincin all quite good prospects.

went to oilers dev camp today at millenium place. Aidan Muir impressed the hell out of me. This guy didn't make an OHL team at the start of the year. He's tall (6'3), fast, and has great hands. I understand that pick by EDM.

Evan Campbell also impressed today.

vanek's 1 year off from UFA n it sounds like he wants out of BUF. His value isn't 2 1sts. He doesn't make sense in EDM, neither does Miller, so BUF fans have got to stop suggesting those trades

With the signing of D Roy in st. Louis. We should be offer sheeting pietrangelo to a deal. They have 7.8 mill to spend on him and Chris Stewart. Not enough for both
